Why choose a Celebrant led wedding?

A celebrant led wedding celebration can take place pretty much anywhere and at any time. Gone are the days of having to conform to someone else's timetable to celebrate one of the most important days of your life.
It's about you
Unlike a ceremony led by a registrar, as your Celebrant I'll get to know you. By having a succession of meetings, I'll find out what makes you tick, what you love about each other (and what you don't!). I'll talk to you about your wider family and your friends and how you'd like to celebrate your marriage. I'll then create a hand crafted ceremony that is centred entirely around you.
Is it legal?
At the moment, a Celebrant is not able to perform a legally binding marriage. We're hoping that this may change in the future, and when it does, the college that I trained at are poised to provide the necessary training and accreditation to allow me to legally marry you.
Until then, the popular choice is for the couple to enjoy a Statutory Ceremony at their local Register Office where they have two witnesses in attendance, and the Registrar will do the legal bit. That leaves you free to organise the Celebration at a time and place of your choice, with a personally written script that a registrar simply cannot do.
